Tokar Estate features a cellar door and restaurant, set in a quiet, beautiful area with views over the Yarra Valley and their formal rose garden.
The intimate restaurant is stylish and comfortable, ideal for smaller groups. If you are visiting in good weather, ask for a table on the deck.
We had the barramundi and pork belly. The barramundi was perfect, crispy skin and nicely cooked - not overdone! The pork belly was succulent and well seasoned.
Staff were friendly and professional, the only hiccup being one meal was severely delayed, however their gift of a bottle of wine more than made up for it. If you want to get away from all the wineries frequented by bus tours, Tokar is a great choice!
